Tasting notes
Grown at 2,000 feet above Placerville and meticulously farmed by Irene and Nemorio DeCasas, 330 cases. Fermented very simply to embrace the no-frills character of this classic northwestern Italian grape of the people, and aged in neutral vessels to reveal its essence. Ripe plums and strawberries, a touch of vanilla bean, wild berries on a farmer’s fence, and just the right hint of bay and cedar. Savory and smooth with medium tannin.
