The problem

The three-tier system flattens everything that makes your wine worth drinking.

Wine is heritage, terroir, and the hands that made it. Competing down the aisle on price, most of that story never reaches the glass.

  • 01Your wine is chosen from a distributor sheet, ranked beside a hundred others by price.
  • 02A shelf tag can't carry six generations of terroir, a hard harvest, or why this vintage matters.
  • 03You never learn who opened the bottle — the relationship ends at the wholesaler's door.

The wall of sameness

Six generations of terroir, reduced to a yellow price tag.

A winemaker pours a glass in his candlelit barrel cellar while streaming it live from a phone on a tripod.

Now you tell the story yourself — live, in real time, to a room full of people who came to listen.

Why we built Vesper

“I grew up on the shop floor of my family's wine business. I watched my grandfather sell bottles the way they deserved to be sold — with the story of the family that made them. Then I watched that story vanish at the register, flattened into a price tag and a shelf-talker. Vesper is the room where winemakers get to tell it again — face to face, in real time, to people who came to listen.”

Live commerce tools

Everything you need to go live and sell — nothing you don't.

You bring the wine and the story. Vesper brings the platform.

Go live in minutes

Open a live room from a laptop or phone. Vesper handles the stream, the chat, and the storefront — you just pour and talk.

Sell through cases

Drop bottles and cases into the stream as you pour. Guests add to their Cellar and check out without ever leaving the room.

Fulfill seamlessly

Orders land ready to ship. You're the licensed seller of record and ship direct-to-consumer, with Vesper's tools keeping it organized.

Own the relationship

Every guest is yours — first-party contacts, tasting history, and notes you can invite back for the next release.

We bring the audience, the live room, and the commerce tools — the marketplace that connects your story to the guest.

Questions

The things wineries ask us first.

Still wondering about something? Write to hosts@vesper.wine and a real person will answer.

There's no upfront cost. Vesper earns a commission only when you make a sale — so the platform only wins when you do. We'll walk through the specifics for your estate when we talk; reach out and we'll share pricing.

You ship direct-to-consumer as the licensed seller of record, to any state your license and DTC permits allow. Vesper's tools flag where you're cleared to ship so every order stays within your compliance.

No. A laptop or phone with a decent camera is enough to go live. A clip-on mic and a soft light help, but many of our founding hosts start with what's already on the tasting-room counter.

A live pour usually runs 20–45 minutes. Most founding wineries host once or twice a month — you set the cadence, and you can go live on a schedule or on impulse.

Not at all. Vesper brings the marketplace and its guests; most viewers are meeting your winery for the first time. You bring the wine and the story — we bring the room.

It's a first-party channel, not an exclusive one. You keep every other way you already sell. On Vesper, there's simply no wholesaler or retailer sitting between you and the guest.

You're the seller of record, so the proceeds are yours. Payouts settle on a regular schedule once orders are fulfilled, with Vesper's commission netted out — no invoicing, no chasing.
