Tasting notes
100% estate Zinfandel from historic vines planted in 1972, farmed CCOF organic, dry-farmed and no-till. Hand-picked over five dates moving west, up the alluvial fan, sorted in the vineyard and again on the crush pad, destemmed without crushing. 592 cases. Sumptuous brambleberry-forward aromas and fruit-filled spicy white pepper flavors with supple tannins, in what Julie calls a jazz club vibe. Definitely not your uncle’s jam.
