Tasting notes
The wine Paumanok is known for, and the benchmark for American Chenin Blanc. Slow, cool fermentation in stainless steel, bottled under screw cap to preserve freshness. Fresh, crisp, racy and bracing, redolent of grapefruit and pineapple with subtler notes of pear and guava. As Eric Asimov put it in The New York Times, "year in and year out, this is one of the best American chenin blancs around."
